The slightly longer walks are perfect for a day's adventure exploring all the nature on and around the Zugerberg mountain. Time to get walking!

Trail 12

Time required: 3 h

Route
Zugerberg, ZBB mountain station – Vordergeissboden – Hochwacht – Bilgerighof – Allenwinden – Wildenburg – Lorzentobelbrücke – Höllgrotten/Höll – Baar, SBB station

  • It is also worth a detour to the Wildenburg ruins or the Höllgrotten caves.
  • Shady picnic areas along the Lorze

Zugerberg, ZBB mountain station – Vordergeissboden – Hünggigütsch-Sätteli – Unter Brunegg – Schmidtli – Höllgrotten/Höll – Baar, Paradies ZVB bus stop

  • Wonderful picnic areas along the Lorze
  • Also suitable for pushchairs

Trail 14

Time required: 4 h 20 min.

Zugerberg, ZBB mountain station – Vordergeissboden – Hünggigütsch-Sätteli – Räbrüti – Buschenchappeli – Alpli – Urzlenboden – Cholerhütte – Brandhöchi – Unterägeri, ZVB bus stop

  • The walk passes along relaxing woodland trails.

Time required: 3 h 40 min. (incl. way back: 7 h)

Zugerberg, ZBB mountain station – Ewegstafel – Früebüel – Buschenchappeli – Alpli – Ober Rossberg – Gnipen – Wildspitz

  • There are fantastic panoramic views from the Wildspitz, the highest point in the canton of Zug (1580 meters above sea level).

Zugerberg, ZBB mountain station – Vordergeissboden – Hünggigütsch-Sätteli – Räbrüti – Buschenchappeli – Alpli – Wildspitz – Halsegg – Sattel, SOB station

  • Beautiful sunset over the Wildspitz
  • Rocks on the south side of the Gnipen from Goldauer Bergsturz (1806).

Trail 17

Time required: 4 h 10 min.

Route
Zugerberg, ZBB mountain station – Ewegstafel – Früebüel – Balisbrugg – Stafel – Rufiberg – Steinerberg, SOB station

  • There are beautiful views of lake Zug, Arth and the surrounding area.

Traveling with pushchairs or wheelchairs

Many of the paths on the Zugerberg are easily passable or even tarmacked. However, the walks described partly pass through nature trails and turnstiles.

Notes on the above routes
Walk 13 is suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. The other trails described above are not suitable for pushchair or wheelchairs as there are turnstiles along the route or it passes along narture trails.
