Short walks

The following short walks on the Zugerberg mountain are a perfect opportunity to escape and explore nature with the whole family.

Zugerberg, ZBB mountain station – Altenboden – Unter Horbach – In den Bächen – Schönegg, ZBB valley station

  • The route largely passes through shady woodlands.

  • There are beautiful views of lake Zug, the city of Zug and the surrounding area.

  • The walk mostly goes through the woods (woodland trails)

  • Wonderful views towards Aegeri; a pleasant walk even in hot weather

Traveling with pushchairs or wheelchairs

Many of the paths on the Zugerberg are easily passable or even tarmacked. However, the walks described partly pass through nature trails and turnstiles.

Notes on the above routes
The above routes are not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. There are lots of turnstiles or the routes pass along nature trails. However, the following routes are easily passable:
