If there is enough snow, you can attempt the high-speed trip down the sledge run from the Zugerberg railway mountain station down 2.5 km to the Schönegg valley station – fun guaranteed for all the family.

Route and opening times

The start and finish are right next to the mountain and valley station for the Zugerberg mountain railway. The sledge run is open every day from 10:00 am.

If the snow conditions are good, the sledge run is also open in the evening for night-sledging (no lighting).

The run has safety padding and nets and is prepared on a regular basis. But there can still be icy patches. It is recommended to wear a helmet.

The Zugerberg mountain railway accepts no liability for any accidents or damage caused by sledging.

The sledge run is free. You need a valid ticket to take the Zugerberg Bahn mountain railway up the mountain. The best option is to buy a multi-way ticket issued by the Tarifverbund Zug ticket association.

6 single tickets for the price of 5 (3 TVZG zones)
Adults CHF 25.00, half-fare card/children 6 – 16 CHF 16.00
