The Zugerberg Railway records significantly higher frequencies on popular excursion days. The railway reacts quickly and runs continuously, i.e. every quarter of an hour.

The Zugerberg Railway serves as a means of public transport for local residents and pupils of the Montana Institute. Accordingly, the services from Monday to Friday are occasionally well attended. Hikers and families are therefore advised to plan their excursion in advance.
