Sledging

If there is enough snow, the racy run on the toboggan run from the Zugerberg mountain station down 2.5 kilometres to the Schönegg valley station - fun guaranteed for the whole family.

  • The current situation report will indicate whether the toboggan run is open. The toboggan run is then open from 10.00 am.
  • In good snow conditions, the toboggan run is also open in the evening for night sledging (no lighting).
  • The start and finish are located directly at the top and bottom stations of the Zugerberg railway.
  • The run is equipped with protective pads and nets and is regularly groomed. However, there may be icy patches. The wearing of helmets is recommended.
  • Our pistes have been tested for snow sports slopes by the Safety Advisory Centre and bear the "tested pistes" seal of approval.

Tobogganing is free of charge. You need a valid ticket for the ascent on the Zugerberg railway. It is best to buy a day ticket from the Zug fare network. This gives you free travel for one day on buses, trains and the Zugerberg Railway in the zones covered by the Zug fare network.

Sledges can be hired at the valley station.

Evening sledging takes place from Monday to Saturday, snow conditions permitting. Please note the current operating reports.
Hired sledges are handed out and taken back at the Schönegg valley station during evening sledging. Defective or stolen hire sledges will be paid for by the party responsible for the damage. Sledge reservations cannot be accepted.
