Zugerberg accessible by train again from 20 September

05.08.2021 | The storm on Sunday, 25 July 2021 hit the valley station and the route of the Zugerberg Railway hard. After thorough investigations, it is clear that the cable car will be able to resume operations from 20 September.

Water and debris entered the premises of the valley station, and a railway carriage was also partially damaged. If you walk past Schönegg today, you will no longer see any of this. The clean-up work is practically complete. However, repairs to the track are also necessary. However, these are far less drastic than was estimated immediately after the event. Nevertheless, the work will continue for a few more weeks. The planned reopening will take place on 20 September. Until then, the Zugerberg can be reached via a railway replacement. We ask the public and guests for their understanding that capacities are limited during this time and that group bookings cannot be accepted. Unfortunately, bike transport is also not possible. Information on the timetable is available at www.zbb.ch/fahrplan.
