Zugerberg railway badly hit by the storm - Zugerberg only accessible via railway replacement
25.07.2021 | The storm on 25 July 2021 also hit the Zugerberg region hard. Rail services are suspended immediately and indefinitely. During the cancellation, access to the Zugerberg will be ensured by buses.
Shortly after reopening after the regular summer overhaul, the railway is once again forced to come to a standstill. The masses of water from the storm on 25 July 2021 flooded the Schönegg valley station and the railway pit. The clean-up work is underway and the extent of the damage must then be thoroughly analysed. A railway replacement will therefore be deployed immediately by Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe for an indefinite period. Bike transport is not possible on these buses due to lack of space.
The timetable will be reduced during this time. Information on the timetable is available at www.zbb.ch.
